Emergency Dispatch Service 104

The Emergency Dispatch Service of each Gas Facilities Operation Department of Ternopil Region works 24 hours a day 7 days a week, without a break. Emergency calls are accepted at the telephone number 104 and are free of charge.  

The new Emergency Dispatch Service cars are equipped with all the tools and devices necessary for high-quality emergency repair works.

WHEN IT IS NECESSARY TO CALL THE EMERGENCY DISPATCH SERVICE 104

  • If you smell gas;
  • Decreased gas pressure in the premises;
  • Gas in your house / apartment or gasified facility suddenly disappears;
  • You have noticed that strangers interfere to the gas networks operation;
  • An explosion or fire has occurred.

HOW TO CALL THE EMERGENCY DISPATCH SERVICE TEAM

Call 104. You will be automatically connected to the Central Emergency Dispatch Service, where your application is forwarded to the duty emergency team in your area.

Warning!!! If there is a suspicion of gas leakage, do not turn on or off electrical appliances, lighting, do not use fire, open windows and doors!

HOW FAST WILL THE EMERGENCY DISPATCH SERVICE TEAM COME

According to the Gas Supply Systems Safety Rules (approved by the Order of the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine nr. 285 dd. 15.05.2015) in the event of an emergency, the Emergency Dispatch Service team must arrive at the emergency facility in a very short time. The emergency service leaves for the scene of the accident no later than 5 minutes and not later than 40 minutes after receiving the call and arrives.

The Emergency Dispatch Service team goes in a special car, which is equipped with radio communication, flashing blue beacons, tools and other necessary technical means.

At the disposal of the emergency gas service of the PrJSC “Ternopilgaz” there are the cars with high passability and equipped with a GPS-monitoring system, which allows to arrive on call as soon as possible and prevent an emergency.

HOW YOUR CALL IS RECORDED BY THE EMERGENCY DISPATCH SERVICE

All calls received by the Central Emergency Dispatch Service must be registered in the software package with the time of receipt of the message (request), address, name of the applicant, reasons of call. The following information is also subject to registration: time of departure and arrival at the place of the Emergency Dispatch Service team, time of the application execution, nature of damage and list of works performed.

Upon receipt of a notification, the Central Emergency Dispatch Service dispatcher instructs the applicant to take preliminary safety measures in accordance with the emergency response plan.

All telephone conversations with Central Emergency Dispatch Service dispatchers on lines 104 are recorded, stored and archived.

FUNCTIONS OF THE EMERGENCY DISPATCH SERVICE

Emergency Dispatch Service is a separate unit of urgent response to emergencies in the gas industry.

The main tasks of the service are the following:

  • promptly determine the situation as a result of the emergency situation; 
  • take urgent measures to find the cause of the emergency; 
  • promptly eliminate complications that arise during the elimination of an emergency situation; 
  • involve the necessary gas services in elimination.
